TempBuddy Shortlisted in 2015-16 Cloud Award

DUBLIN – 22 December 2015 – TempBuddy has made the shortlist in the 2015-2016 Cloud Awards Programme in the Most Promising Start-Up category.

The prestigious cloud computing awards programme accepts entries from across the globe from organisations of all sizes including start-ups and government bodies. Over 300 organisations entered, with entries coming from across the globe, covering the Americas, Australia, Europe and the Middle East.

Roderick Smyth, CEO of TempBuddy, said: “It’s an honour for TempBuddy to be recognised in the Most Promising Start-Up category of the 2015-16 Cloud Awards. Making the shortlist against significant global competition highlights how innovative and unique the cloud-based recruitment platform and worker app is that we have developed. Our real-time contingent workforce management software uses smart mobile technology to get the best people to the right place at the right time, paid promptly and accurately.”

Cloud awards organiser Larry Johnson said: “In our fifth year of recognising the best of the best – not just the monoliths within the space, but all of the cloud organisations that offer real innovation and value to their users – we are still delighted to find new names pushing hard. The cloud is all about adding value in a lean, cost-effective way, utilising the latest technologies and methodologies to benefit the end user.”

Having already scooped several industry awards in its initial year of trading, TempBuddy seeks to reimagine the deployment and management of temporary workers by exploiting the ubiquity of mobile devices, plus other technological advances such as biometrics and geo-tagging. Their game-changing platform and worker app have already been adopted by users in over 180 cities across 3 continents, and by over 30 UK recruitment companies.

Smyth continued: “Smart recruitment companies are keen to embrace cloud-based software to drive more efficiencies in their business. TempBuddy frees on average 12 hours of a recruiter’s working week allowing them to focus on relationship and revenue building activities. Our vision is to use technology to make flexible work easier and more rewarding for all concerned – agencies, employers and workers all benefit from an enhanced user experience.”

Final winners will be announced on Thursday 28 January 2016. The Cloud Awards (http://www.cloud-awards.com/) will return with a new programme in 2016 to continue its recognition of excellence in cloud computing.
